the Asylum Arena, California (December 13th 2000)

Attacked.

‘I dissapear’ by Metallica was the first sound that the 15,000 fans in attendance at the Asylum Arenae heard, they erupted, as the owner, Joe, Walked out through the curtains, clutching in his right hand a microphone, and sporting on his left lower arm, a huge cast. He walked down the isle, Not sporting his usual cocky grin, but a sour and angry look on his face, he clambered into the Asylum, and seemingly psyched himself up.

“Right, Graphic Violence, you broke my arm, your days are fucking numbered, By the end of tonight, your gonna get whats coming to you-you Bastard, and I swear, if you interfere in one match, Your ass wont just be beat, it’ll be fired as well, and that’s that.!”

With that, Joe flung down the micophone, storming out of the ring, the crowd cheered him on his way out, as the show cut quickly to the commentators, and the first match.

The Irish Brawler Vs 'Unbreakable' Gibson Cage
(U.K. title tournament)

This was indeed a rematch. Something that we saw this past Sunday. But this time around there is more at risk. Brawlers' chances of beating Cage on Sunday were interrupted by the Inmate, which cost him the match. If that were today, Brawler would have lost the opportunity to advance in the UK Title Tournament. There is more at steak for both men tonight, it's not a simple win or lose match. Tonight one will earn the right to advance and be one step closer to achieving that goal. That is if everything goes smoothly. Brawler made his way down to the ring to some cheers from the crowd. He stood in the Asylum, awaiting the man who got a "cheep win" according to many of the fans. 'Unbreakable' Gibson Cage started to strut towards the ring as the fireworks and strobe lights filled the arena. He had a huge smile on his face as he waved to the crowd. He hoped the cage and the bell sounded, the match was underway. Brawler flew at Cage with a clothesline off the ring apron, but Cage caught him in a military press, and dropped him throat-first across the guardrail. Cage whipped Brawler to the steel railing, and with a mighty roar, slammed him down with a sidewalk slam. Cage then got a running start, and hit a huge leg drop on Brawler. Cage lifted Brawler to his feet, and set him in place for a Rainmaker. The crowd gasped, but the fearless Brawler backed Cage into the steel railing with great effort, and evaded his demise. Brawler chopped at Cage's chest a few times, but this only infuriated Gibson Cage, as he reversed the position with Brawler in the corner, and slammed the back of his elbow into the face of Brawler numerous times. Followed were a set of knee-lifts, which left Brawler breathless. Cage whipped Brawler into the opposing corner, and quickly charged in with a clothesline. Cage pulled Brawler to the center of the ring, and set him up for a chokeslam, but Brawler would kick the 'family jewels' and get out of the move. Brawler is quick to clothesline Cage and put him back down on the mat. Brawler decides to stomp at the chest of Cage a few minutes. Brawler then applies a figure four-leg lock, attempting to make Cage submit. The ref checks on Cage, but he shakes his head no. The crowds' attention once again turns to another man.

Once again, Inmate makes his way down to Brawlers match.

The crowd boos loudly as what appears to be a great match so far is once again disturbed by the Inmate. Brawler lets go of the figure four and has a few choice words for Inmate. Brawler hops the cage and meets Inmate at the middle of the entrance ramp where the two exchange rights and lefts. Brawler gets the advantage with a knee lift to the stomach. Brawler begins to set him up for a corkscrew powerbomb but the ref is pulling at Brawlers arms and yelling at him to get back into the ring.

Meanwhile…

Cage is slowly making his way back to his feet, but he too is met by a guest. Chris Credible comes out from the crowd and hops into the ring which a chair in hand. Chris Credible slams the chair into the back Cage's head. Cage falls face first onto the mat. Chris Credible places the chair on the mat, lifts the lifeless body of Cage up in the air and hits a jackhammer. Cage's head hits the chair hard and it appears as if Cage is out cold. Chris Credible takes his chair and runs back through the crowd. Back in the aisle way the ref finally pulls Inmate and Brawler apart. Brawler still wants to go at it but out of the corner of his eye he notices that Cage isn't moving, so he quickly runs back into the ring. Brawler then signals to the crowd that this match is over and applies a Dragon Sleeper/Camel Clutch combo called 'Technically Sound'. Brawler has the move on tight, and Cage's body just sits there like a corpse. The ref allows this for about a minute before deciding that Cage can no longer continue. The Inmates plans of once again costing Brawler the match are spoiled. Brawler picks up the victory in 7 minutes and 59 second, and he will advance in the UK Title Tournament.

Honor or Hell?

The crowd greeted Mikey Riggs with a good reaction as ‘Enter the Jungle’ by Guns ‘n Roses played, Mikey came down to the Asylum, and stepped in, before addressing the fans. Mikey told the crowd that he would “Grace his father name, by destroying the evil of the Asylum”. He went on to tell the crowd of how his father was an honorable man, and also a “Man of the cloth”, Riggs told them that his father would help the poor at Christmas, and that God took good care of him, until the point where a lone Gunman took him from the world. He was interrupted however by strange Monk like chants, which came from the speakers, Riggs looked angrily, as he’d been interrupted whilst talking about his father, A robed man came from the curtains, and told Mikey where to shove his ‘Honor’, Mikey looked ready to fight, but the robed man spoke on. Telling Riggs that it is religion that is responsible for many crusades and wars, and that how Lucifer himself is disguisted at how the human race themselves can throw away their lives. Riggs prepares to fight, but the robed man begins to walk away, before turning. “I have seen your father” the robed man coldly said. “Where you asshole?” replied Riggs. The robed man paused.

“In Hell”

The robed man laughed, before pulling back his hood.

Silence.

Riggs looked deeply angry, as Silence once again placed the microphone tp his lips. “And remember Riggs, After Armageddon, there is Only….Silence.” The monks chants began again, as Silence left, persued by a Furious Mikey Riggs.

Love?

Koji Tamura sat in his locker room facing a mirror. He looked into the mirror solemnly, perhaps thinking about his upcoming match with Mikey Riggs. He continued his stare before he reached down and pulled a package out of his back pack. Koji slowly opened it, revealing photographs of one Asylum fighter.

Nerva.

Koji slowly looked through the photographs. All of them were shots of Nerva after they had gotten off the plane in San Jose. He slowly picked up a pair of scissors and began cutting the pictures out, only leaving the contour of Sharon Lee’s body as a picture. Koji slowly looked over the pictures and began cutting them up one by one. After they were all cut out he spread them out over a small table and looked deeply into the eyes of each picture.

"She’s perfect."

Koji Tamura looked up at the ceiling before the scene cut back to the Asylum and thousands of screaming fans.

the Inmate Vs Nerva
(U.K. title tournament)

Marilyn Manson’s ‘Disposable Teens’ echoed through the arena, as Inmate and Nurse appeared through the curtains to a somewhat harsh reaction, Inmate appeared to have full concentration on the match ahead, Inmate stepped into the Asylum, and proceeded to look onward towards the curtain with an icy glare. The crowd grew silent, But then exploded as Static-X’s ‘Bled for Days’ played through the arena, for the first time ever, and surely not the last time, a Woman stepped through the curtains, ready to fight for the right for a place in the semi finals of the U.K. title tounament at the first ever Asylum Pay Per View.

pAIN.

Nerva stepped through the curtains, and looked around at her surroundings, without showing any signs of emotion, she walked calmy down to the Asylum, the crowd cheering all the way. Nerva slowly and calmly stepped into the Asylum. There she and Inmate exchanged a glare, before walking to the center of the structure, The referee ordered the two to knuckle up, they exchanged a short clashing of fists as a pose to a handshake, Inmate stuck Nerva’s hands particularly hard, in an attempt to put her off, the two backed away from each other, as match referee James Johnston stepped back. Inmate stepped back, before grinning a somewhat disturbing smile, Inmate proceeded to extend his hand, Nerva reached out. And Inmate sunk to a new low.

He punched Nerva in the nose.

Nerva’s nose instantly began to bleed, she fell back, more shocked than hurt, as the blood began to pour down her face, The crowd laughed, Jeering Nerva, however, this seemed to feul her, She dragged herself onto her feet, wiping the blood from her nose, and taking up a fighting stance, Inmate approached, as Nerva swung a kick, Inmate caught her leg, and hurled her through 360 degrees backwads, causing her to land on her face. The crowd laughed again, Inmate even taking time to speak to Nurse at the side of the ring, Little did he realise, that Nerva had more determination than he gave her credit for. Nerva stood, running and hammering Inmate with a hard kick to the lower back, Inmate turned, Just in time to receive several martial arts kicks to the ribs. Nerva seemed to be gaining not only theadvantage, but the interest of the crowd, when Inmate caught one stray kick, He hooked the leg, along with Nerva’s head, and threw her straight over his head with a Suplex, to a good response from the crowd. Inmate then showed a vicious streak, kicking Nerva repeatedly as she lay against the mesh, Inmate dragged her up by the hair, and lifted her with her head and arm into a bearhug position, before amazing the crowd, throwing her from an already levitated position, over his head with a head and arm suplex! Nerva was shook, She made an attempt to get back to her feet, Only to find Inmate, who repeatedly slapper her around the back of the head, almost mocking her with every strike, He then hooked her for what appeared to be a pumphandle slam, but turned that too into a suplex! Nerva lay motionless, the blood was now streaming from her nose, as Inmate stalked her around the ring, she crawled towards the rim of the Asylum, using it to pull herself to her feet. It was then that Inmate once again showed his relentlessness. He began to point into the crowd, James Johnston approached him, in an attempt to see what he was pointing at, meanwhile, Nurse took Nerva’s hair, Pulling on it, and choking her on the rim of the Asylum, Nurse let go moments later, as Inmate turned his attentions away from distracting James Johnston. And back onto Nerva, who was now motionlessly laying over the side of the Asylum, he took her feet, and tipped her most of the way out of the Asylum, before stopping, shaking his head, and dragging her back in, Inmate then proceeded to hold Nerva in the air for over 10 seconds, before German release Suplexing her over his head, Inmate then leaned against the mesh, laughing as James Johnston began to ten count, 1…2…3…4. Nerva lay motionless, 5…6. Nerva began to move, Inmates facial expressions changed, 7…8. Nerva got to one knee, and proceeded to express her feeling to Inmate on national television, ‘The Middle Finger’. The crowd almost gasped in amazement at Nerva’s act. As Inmate walked towards her with fire in his eyes. Little did he realise Nerva still had something left, and advantage over Inmate.

A Low Blow.

Inmate fell straight back in agony, As Nerva hit a huge lunging low blow on him, Nerva fell back again in agony, clearly hurt from the vicious onslaught by Inmate, Inmate got to his knees, As Nerva began to use the mesh to once again get to her feet. Inmate was up as Nerva slowly staggered to her feet, Seconds klater though, Inmate took a run up, and punched her in the temple, Nerva collapsed again. The referee started the 10 count on Nerva, while Inmate ruthlessly called for a chair. Nurse threw one into the Inmate, But before he could use it, a distraction appeared on the horizon.

‘Eclipse’ Koji Tamura.

Koji stood at the top of the isle, looking worried, The referee turned to nocice the chair in Inmates hands, the referee abandoned his 10 count on Nerva, just as it looked improbable for her to be able to stand, Koji began to walk coolly down towards the Asylum, Nurse appeared to confront him, But like lightning, He locker her into a relaxed Crossface chicken wing, Just to the extent that she couldn’t move. Inmate was torn, He couldn’t leave the ring without losing, he proceeded to partake in a verbal war with Koji which lasted several seconds, waving the chair at him in a threatening matter. The crowd where more interested in something else however, as Nerva shakily made her way to her feet, slowly using the Asylum as an air as she circled the ring, keeping out of Inmates field of vision. The crowd then gasped, Nerva began to climb. Struggling to stand, let alone keep ger balance, Koji noticed this, and smiled, releasing Nurse, and walking away, Nurse frantically tried to wanr the Inmate of what was about to happen, However.

He was too Late.

Inmate turned, chair in hand, Just as Nerva made her leap.

Tornado kick from the Asylum.

Nerva leapt. Tornado kicking the steel chair hard into the face of the Inmate, the noise of collision was almost that of a car wreck, as both competitors fell flat out on their backs, James Johnston once again started a tense 10 count. 1…2…3…4…5. There was absolutely no movement from either fighter. 6…7. The crowd gasped in amazement. Nerva’s hand moves, grasping the mesh of the Asylum tightly, for the duration of 7 to 8, nerva’s other hand painstakingly made its way around, also gripping the mesh, 8 to 9 saw the crowd amazed, Nerva began to pull herself up, using her arms alone, 9…10.

The crowd were silent.

Nerva leant against the structure, technically standing.

Nerva Had Won.

The silence continued, as Inmate remained, unconscious on the floor, several medics and a doctor immeidiately rushed the ring. Helping Nerva to her feet. It was then, that the arena exploded with cheers, Nerva received a standing ovation as she was assisted out of the ringside area by Medics, hardly able to walk. Then, Inmate came to.

James Johnston was the first thing he saw, and Inmate was the last thing James Johnston saw, Inmate proceeded to bash his brains in with a chairshot. Before conducting a heinous attack. Inmate took the chair, and bashed at Johnstons’s knee, again and again and again, Until the chair was merely a lump of battered metal, Johnston was already out from the pain, as Inmate locked in his finisher ‘Snap’ on the already destroyed knee of Johnston. The camera’s moved in on Inmates face, the look in his eyes suggested that he’d completely lost all sense of remorse. Several Security members hit the ring, each receiving a suplex for their troubles, Inmate stormed from ringside, slowly followed by Nurse, Who also looked shocked as the show went to commercial.

Fuckhead?

The camera takes us backstage, and shows Pete Borst come out of his locker room and walk down a corridor. The crowd begins to cheer as they see the Asylum Champion. As Borst walks down the corridor, a door suddenly flies open hitting Borst in the face! Matthew slowly peeks his head out of the door, and grins when he sees Pete holding his head, and slowly getting up.

"Hey Pete... hows yer mum?" laughs Matthew. Pete looks up at Matt, and jumps to his feet, immediately diving for Matt. Pretty soon, there are officials on the scene holding Pete back, while Matt just leans on the wall laughing. "C'mon Pete... c'mon." Matt continues to taunt Borst. "You never scored with Jordan mate. You're a lying little fuck!"

Pete stops trying to get at Matt, and the officials let go of him. "Matt... it was a fucking joke!" Matt just grins, "I know mate... you tosspot." Matt cups his hand and does the classic wanker motion, which starts Pete off again. He dives for Matt. "You fuckhead! Me and you... tonight! Tonight you fuckhead!" cries Borst as Matt jogs away laughing.

'Eclipse' Koji Tamura Vs Mikey Riggs
(U.K. Title tournament)

The crowd is cheering as loud as they can as "Welcome To The Jungle" by Guns N' Roses begins to blare over the P.A. system. Mikey Riggs then begins to make his way down to the ring or cage as some people like to call it. He makes his Asylum debut tonight against the man who took Graphic Violence to the limit on Sunday. Riggs has no small task ahead of him, it would be a fight…and we wouldn't expect anything less here at the Asylum. "Eclipse" Koji Tamura slowly makes his way to the ring where Riggs awaits, he hops the steel mesh and the ref signals for the bell. Eclipse wastes no time by charging at Riggs, but Riggs is quick to think and takes Eclipse down with a drop toehold. Riggs quickly starts to throw punches at the back of Eclipses' head as he sits on his back. Eclipse struggles to block but to no avail. Riggs gets up and picks up Eclipses' leg into the air and slams his kneecap into the mat as hard as he can. Riggs repeats this process another 4 times before he lets up. But that is not going to keep Eclipse down for long. Eclipse manages to get to his feet, flicks the finger at Riggs and the two begin to exchange lefts and rights. Eclipse slowly begins to gain the advantage, staggering Riggs. Eclipse takes a boot to the stomach of Riggs, which bends Riggs over. Eclipse sets him up for a powerbomb and viciously sends Riggs' head bouncing off the mat. Both men lie on the ground, exhausted. The ref begins to make the 10 count, but by the time he reaches 7 Eclipse had made his way back to his feet. Riggs, obviously in pain, starts to roll on his side. He is helped up to his feet by a fistful of hair from Eclipse. Eclipse then takes the head of Riggs and begins to bounce off the steel railing like it's a basketball. Eclipse then sets Riggs up for an irish whip, but it is reversed and Eclipses' back slams into the railing. Eclipse screams in pain for just a brief second before he regains composure and charges at Riggs. Riggs is quick to lower his back and deliver a back body drop to Eclipse. Eclipse hits the mat hard and Riggs drops to one knee. Riggs checks his brow to see if he's bleeding but he's not. Riggs then turns around and begins to just kick the rib area of Eclipse numerous times. Riggs then drops to his knees and applies a chokehold on Eclipse. Eclipse gasps for air, then rakes the eyes of Riggs so that the hold is released. Riggs is holding his face, Eclipse gets to his feet breathing rather heavily before sending his elbow crashing into the spine of Riggs. Eclipse quickly turns things around by applying a pile driver on Riggs. Eclipse brings Riggs up, and sends him into the steel railing. He charges in with a lariat, and then begins to go to work on Riggs, hitting him with a series of lariats while trapped up against the cage. Riggs finally slumps out, and Eclipse decides to permanently ground Riggs by working on the leg. He lifts it up, and slams it into the canvas repeatedly before bringing Riggs to his feet. Eclipse grabs his leg, and brings him down with a dragon screw. He then repeatedly stomps on the leg, and sets up the legs and applies an indian deathlock, a painful hold that works especially on the legs. Eclipse falls back on the legs repeatedly trying to take the wheels out of the 6 foot 9 inch man, and Riggs is screaming in pain. Riggs is close to tapping out, but he doesn't which frustrates Eclipse and the hold is released. Eclipse takes this opportunity to size up Riggs and attempt a clothesline, but Riggs manages to duck and catches Eclipse turning around with a series of jabs, followed by a European uppercut which sends Eclipse back against the cage, and then catches Eclipse coming off the cage with a clothesline of his own. Riggs leaps onto Eclipse with a splash, and just begins to unleash a furry of fists to the face. He waits for Eclipse to get up, and brings him down with a beautiful dropkick, but hurts his own leg in the process. After a moment to recover, he attempts to throw Eclipse out of the cage, but Eclipse gets a foot up on the railing. Riggs is quick to think before Eclipse can pull off a move, and takes him down with a snap suplex. He holds on, and executes another. Again he holds on, and brings Eclipse down for a third time, before going to the head and applying a dragon sleeper. Eclipse has nowhere to go. Riggs is confident that he's about to advance in the UK Title Tournament, and loosens his hold briefly to make a particular gesture to the booing fans. Eclipse takes this opportunity and quickly gathers his strength, slowly standing up with Riggs still on him, unable to let go as Eclipse grabs him and drapes him over his shoulder. Eclipse then drops Riggs with an emerald fusion maneuver, taking out Riggs. Riggs staggers to his feet as Eclipse gets up, and Eclipse kicks for Riggs leg. However, Riggs catches his leg, spins him around, and grabs his head from behind. Riggs signals to the crowd that he's about to go for the 'The Big Rig' but then an unwanted quest shows up, Silence. Riggs sees Silence making his way down to the Asylum and Riggs releases the hold, which would be a costly mistake, which he would find out later. Silence just slowly walks to the ring, yelling and taunting Riggs to come out and fight him, but Riggs signals for Silence to step in the Asylum with him. Eclipse is getting back to his feet now as Riggs leans on the cage still yelling at Silence. Eclipse sets up for a superkick, he connects right on the back of Riggs' head. The force of the kick sends Riggs sailing over and out of the steel mesh cage, awarding Eclipse the victory in 26 minutes and 29 seconds. He also wins advancement in the UK Title Tournament. Silence stands there, laughs and then walks away as Wednesday fades to commercial.

Pete Borst Vs Matthew
(Non-Title Match)

Scum of the Earth by Rob Zombie plays as Matthew comes out with Martin. He hops over the cage wall and into the Asylum, grinning from ear to ear. Suddenly, Gas Panic by Oasis begins to play, and the Asylum Champion, Pete Borst runs out from behind the curtain and down the aisle. "Matthew has really pissed off Borst, and at the wrong time! He's got his match against Sanjuro to prepare for at the PPV!" cried CaLLouS.

Borst dives over the Asylum cage, literally, and spears Matt in the process. He begins to to throw rights and lefts at Matt, who does a good job over covering up. The match has only been going a matter of seconds when Sanjuro walks down the aisle. "What's he doing here?!" says JPP. CaLLouS mumbles something back as Borst turns to see Sanjuro standing outside the cage. He kicks Matthew in the midsection before running over to the cage wall and swinging his arm over the top at Sanjuro, who takes a step back to avoid the blow. Matthew comes up from behind Borst, but Pete quickly turns insitinctively swinging a vicious right hand at Matthew, that catches him on his right cheek.
"Matthew is out! I repeat... Matthew is OUT." shouts CaLLouS, "but Martin is distracting the ref! He doesn't know Pete threw the punch!" After what must be thirty seconds, Borst manages to get the refs attention back on the match. As he does, Matthew is up to his knees. Borst walks over to him, but falls victim of a headbutt to groin. Borst drops to his knees, and Sanjuro reaches through the cage! "He's grabbed Borst's ankles! Referee! Take a look!" JPP was as passionate as ever, especially when Matthew kicked Borst, still unable to get up due to Sanjuro holding his ankles down. Borst hit the mat and lay on his front. Matthew staggered around for a while, while Borst attempted to once again get up. Sanjuro begins to laugh as Matt winds up... "Mattkick!" Matt kicked Borst full power in the side of the head, and he's out!

The referee calls for the bell!

Matthew has defeated the Asylum Champion, all be it in a contraversial win. After the match, Sanjuro climbs into the Asylum, and both Matt and Sanjuro begin to kick at the knocked out Borst. The crowd then roars, a flickering strobe light begins to light the arena dimly, Matthew continues to kick Borst, however out of nowhere, a Figure appears behind Sanjuro, laying him out with an inverted DDT into a Mitchinoku Driver, the masked Figure does the sign of the Crucufix, and vanishes! Suddenly, Divine by Korn plays over the PA system, and the monster ArchAngel begins to slowly walk down the aisle. Matthew pays no attention to him, not until he's thrown out of the Asylum by him! ArchAngel cleans house, before picking up Borst. As Wednesday's show goes off air, ArchAngel is carrying the battered and bloody KO'd Pete Borst over his shoulder, and the show finishes as ArchAngel disappears backstage!
